Microneedling – true to its name – is a minimally-invasive procedure that addresses signs of premature ageing, acne scarring and other skin concerns by creating small wounds in the skin with a micro-fine needling device (generally 0.25 to 2.5 millimeters in diameter).
How it works?
Microneedling works by triggering the body’s wound healing process. During this process, the healthy tissue surrounding the microneedling wounds responds to repair the damage – triggering the production of collagen and elastin cells to help rebuild the skin’s dermal structure. Rebuilding dermal layers in this manner helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and texture irregularities such as acne pitting or stretch marks.
